Wait, but why?
In the time since we began announcing this trip from Louisville to Antarctica to friends and family, we got questions about whether we were going to launch a GoFundMe page. Nope. It would be unthinkable to ask these folks to fund our lark when they should be heading out on one of their own. And yet…
We have to appreciate a couple of things:
- This trip – more than ten-thousand miles with no planes – is intriguing to some.
- There is an immense amount of need in this hemisphere – from our hometown of Louisville all the way down through the Americas.
For these reasons, we added this page. Here we will feature organizations making a social impact, breaking down borders, and doing work that is in the spirit of embodying curiosity, generosity, and grit.
The links go directly to the donation pages for these organizations. We don’t take anything nor do we know if or how much you give. Give if you wish.
